Emma Owens is an artist and designer based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her creative process involves combining physical and digital materials to create compositions that challenge the viewer’s perspective. Her work explores how color can be used to create meaning, which necessarily questions the associations humans make between color and emotion. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with plans to graduate in May 2025. Owens has recently contributed work to the Chattanooga Public Library and WonderPress, a local print shop. Her freelance work has included book cover designs and logos for small businesses. Her work has recently been featured in the 2025 University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s BFA Senior Thesis Exhibition.
