This broadside and short film are inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film, The Birds. This thriller/horror film inspired me to pull from and incorporate both menacing and ominous themes. I physically scratched the words “THE BIRDS” into the image with a blade to represent bird claws as well as to signify their aggression in the film. The remainder of the type is an excerpt from the script that I layered on top of the car in such a way that all of the words are stacked on top of each other, amplifying a feeling of being unable to escape the birds.
